Through this matchmaking session we help (potential) scale-ups prepare optimally for a seed financing or series A capital round. This includes getting the pitch and financial plan in focus and a check of the legal aspects. Next, participants get the chance to present their funding question and plan to a panel of funding experts, who each assess it from their own perspective and advise on the appropriate funding mix. Such a panel typically consists of representatives from banks, government and private venture capitalists, BAN Flanders and crowdfunding platforms (More info).

The Finance Matchmaking track targets a group of up to ten companies to ensure the necessary interactivity. Multiple individuals per company can participate.

Timing of the trajectory

• 02.03.2023: workshop with intensive pitch training given by international expert Irene Walsh, guidelines around the financial plan and legal preparation, tips from a VC and information about European innovation funding (Bluepoint Brussels)
• 09.03.2023: "Pitch Clinic" - practice pitch and feedback (online)
• In between, individual coaching sessions of 45' are scheduled 
• 23.03.2023: FINMIX panel pitch and feedback (VLAIO Ghent)
