Möbius puts shoulders to the wheel of Scaleup Vlaanderen

Scaleup Flanders, the partnership between technology federation Agoria, business accelerator imec.istart and the center for the technological industry Sirris, is working with a rist of carefully selected partners to further refine its service offering to scaleups.

That offering aims to support Flemish digital startups that have found their product market fit and are ready to scale internationally in a variety of ways, be it through individual coaching, group coaching tracks, international missions, tech screenings and networking events.

Möbius is active in various sectors and helps organizations during strategic moments to shape and realize their ambitions. The organization always does this tailored to the customer and in co-creation with employees, in order to arrive at the right insights.

The service provider has also been working closely with digital growth companies for several years, "which we help on a structural basis to realize their growth strategy or to address certain problems in the short term," Jonathan Aelterman and Peter De Clerck of Möbius clarify. As experts in business transformation and growth, they guide not only scaleups but also private equity players and venture capital firms, in order to improve the return on their investments.

"Content is often about the concrete design and translation of the strategy at the tactical and operational level," it sounds. "Together we consider how the organization can further scale and professionalize in terms of structure, people, processes and systems. Integration processes after mergers or acquisitions are also common."

"Through our partnership with Scaleup Flanders, we want to help support entrepreneurs to conquer a solid and global market position. We strongly believe in the joint potential to realize a sustainable impact for our Flemish scaleups with our accumulated expertise," said nog Aelterman.

Since Ghent-based Möbius was founded in 1997, things have been going fast for the company. It not only opened an office in Brussels, but also have branches in the Netherlands and France. Together, these four locations now employ more than 100 people for both local and international clients.

It owes its name to the famous Möbius belt. By inserting a kink in a driving belt, one can double its lifespan. The genius lies in its simplicity: a simple intervention in the core process doubles the life of the investment. "In the same way, we want to make small, targeted interventions to future-proof companies," said nog De Clerck.

Stronger together

The link with Scaleup Flanders is therefore logical, because Möbius is on the same page content-wise and has the same goal in mind, which is to take Belgian and Flemish scaleups to a higher level.

"With our program, we are looking for partners who can provide clear added value for the companies we accompany," says Frederik Tibau, Expert Digital Innovation & Growth at Agoria and one of the driving forces behind Scaleup Flanders.

"With Möbius, we have found such a partner. The expertise this team has built up around strategy, internal scaling processes and operational excellence is extremely valuable for our digital businesses. We therefore look forward to a fruitful collaboration and are happy to welcome Möbius into our ecosystem!"

Curious about the program? Scaleup Flanders will soon be organizing technology screenings and sessions around internationalization or raising funds, among other things. The full agenda can be found here view.
